This year we went to the Baker Park Campground in Maple Plain for Baker Boo with the church group. We had a blast! The weather was in the high 40s so we were able to be outside all afternoon. The day started with activities for the kids, mini golf, pumpkin carving, games, rock climbing wall, etc. At 5:30 everyone went on a parade through the park showing off their costumes, after that the kids got to trick or treat at each camp site. Kaitlyn was clutching her bag full of candy and loving it even though she won't be eating much of it. The activities continued with a magic show and a band but the kids didn't last that long, no naps makes for a really long day. Wyatt was a prince, Riley was a witch, Lauren was a dragon and Kaitlyn was a lion.

Nick or Treat
We took the kids to Nick or Treat at Nickelodean Universe at the Mall of America. The kids get wrist bands to ride all of the rides in the park and they participate in trick or treating, costume contests, and tons of other fun stuff. Kaitlyn is still too little to ride on the rides but she has a good time seeing all the people and lights in the park. She kept us all on our toes, she was walking everywhere!

Oktoberfest 2009
My family used to go to Oktoberfest at a German restaurant near our house, when they
closed down last year we decided that we'd have our own celebration! Last weekend we had a full German celebration complete with yodeling, saurkraut eating contests and plenty of beer. Mom made brats, saurkraut, pretzels, spaetzle, and apple crisp. Rachel, Sarah, and I were the official "shot girls" so we helped keep the party going. Next year we'll have the fourth Berg girl handing out shots, Becky is 9 months pregnant and it's tough to find German maternity costumes! The party went until the wee hours of the morning and everyone is looking forward to the Second Annual Oktoberfest!
